Refunds & Cancellation Policy
Effective: 13 September 2026. Paid subscriptions remain active for the term purchased and can be set not to renew.
1. General rule — no mid-term refunds
Except where applicable law requires otherwise or Fincary expressly agrees because of a duplicate or erroneous charge attributable to Fincary or its payment processing, paid subscription fees are non-refundable after a subscription has begun. There is no refund or credit merely because a user stops using Fincary, uses less than the available allowance, does not use the service, or turns off renewal before the paid term expires.
2. Monthly subscriptions
A monthly subscription is purchased for the full monthly term beginning at its activation date and time. You may turn off renewal during the active term. Doing so does not end the current membership early and does not create a refund. The subscription remains available until its stated expiry and will not renew after that expiry unless renewal is turned back on or a new subscription is purchased.
3. Annual subscriptions — one-year commitment
An annual subscription is a commitment for the full one-year term beginning at its activation date and time. Annual pricing may be lower than purchasing monthly subscriptions because the user commits to the entire year. Accordingly, an annual subscription cannot be cancelled, terminated for convenience, or refunded before the one-year term ends, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
For service administration, metering, feature access or usage allocation, an annual plan may be displayed, tracked or divided into monthly periods or monthly usage allocations. This does not convert the annual subscription into twelve separate monthly subscriptions and does not create a monthly cancellation or refund right. The contractual subscription term remains one year.
You may turn off renewal during the annual term so that the subscription expires at the end of that one-year commitment and does not renew for another term.
4. Usage allowances
Unused pages, transactions, entries, credits or other usage units have no cash value and are not refundable or redeemable for money. Whether unused allowance carries forward depends on the specific plan displayed at purchase. Expiry of a usage period or subscription may result in unused allowance expiring.
5. Upgrades and downgrades
Where an upgrade is offered, it becomes effective only after any required additional payment is successfully completed or the upgrade is otherwise authorised by Fincary. Downgrades are not available during an active paid subscription term. A user may instead turn off renewal and select an available plan after the current term expires.
6. Failed renewals and expiry
If a renewal payment fails or renewal has been turned off, the paid subscription ends at its scheduled expiry unless otherwise stated. The account may then fall back to the then-available free plan. Free-plan usage rules continue to apply independently; expiry of a paid plan does not guarantee a fresh free allowance where the relevant free-period allowance has already been consumed.
7. Exceptions required by law
Nothing in this Policy removes refund, cancellation, cooling-off, chargeback or other consumer rights that applicable law makes mandatory and does not permit the parties to waive. Any legally required refund will be handled according to the applicable law and payment-provider process.
8. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If you believe you were charged more than once for the same purchase or an incorrect amount was charged because of a Fincary or payment-processing error, contact us promptly with the account email and transaction reference. We will review the issue and, where verified, arrange the appropriate correction or refund.
9. How to turn off renewal
Where self-service subscription controls are available, use the Account page to turn off renewal. The account will show the subscription as non-renewing while retaining access until expiry. Payment-provider controls may also apply once online payments are enabled.
